CitiesAlive panel to discuss green infrastructure at World Green Roof Congress

CITIESALIVE says on 20 October, senior officials will gather to discuss need for Green Infrastructure Act for Ontario, US at its World Green Roof Infrastructure Congress.

According to CitiesAlive, the panel discussion will be a chance to hear contrasting visions of what a city with fully developed green infrastructure would look like. In effect, discussing whether it is possible to simultaneously grow a green infrastructure industry and a green economy.

CitiesAlive is a one time event co-hosted by the City of Toronto, Green Roofs for Healthy Cities and the World Green Roof Infrastructure Network. For which scientists, designers and policy makers are gathering from around the world to explore the latest developments on how green infrastructure can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and allow cities to adapt to the negative impacts of climate change.

Green Roofs for Healthy Cities says as increased investment in leafy green infrastructure can significantly help cities reduce green house gas emissions and begin to adapt to the projected heat waves.
